About the job

As a User Experience (UX) leader, you help define and drive the future of Google design. You identify and set product strategy, envision complex UX ecosystems and inspire teams to push the boundaries of what’s possible. You possess a clear vision of the future of user experience and have the courage to pursue forward-thinking design.

In this role, you will apply your passion for brand, craft, and design fidelity to guide research and design processes, mentor talented members of your team, and collaborate with leaders of other UX and Engineering teams to create innovative experiences across all of Google’s products.

Google Play offers music, movies, books, apps and games for devices, powered by the cloud. It syncs across devices and on the web. As part of the Android and Mobile team, Googlers working on Google Play do everything from engineering our backend systems, to shaping product strategy, to forming great content partnerships. They make it possible for people to do things like buy an ebook or song on their Android phone, then have it instantly available on their laptop. The Google Play team enhances the Android ecosystem by giving developers and partners a premium store where they can reach millions of users.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate developers’ audience and business growth on Play by providing unique and valuable tools, opportunities, insights, and optimizations that leverage our position as a partner and platform.

  • Define a strategic roadmap for the future of the Google Play developer tools in partnership with cross-functional leadership, while fostering cross-functional collaboration and imparting user-centered philosophy across the Google Play organization.

  • Drive both UX strategies and tactical executions across the team. Define processes and best practices to advance collaboration across teams and cross-functional partners.

  • Attract, grow, and retain a world-class, multi-disciplinary team of diverse user experience talent.

  • Build strong relationships with Google Play leadership, as well as other UX leaders across Google, to share best practices, create collaboration opportunities, and enable talent mobility.
