As a designer, someone who’s job it is to actively attempt changing the reality we are living in, I can’t help but dream of a better one. Reality where people voluntarily give their time to help each other, reality where they are somewhat caring, somewhat kinder. So I’ve been toying with an idea with ‘Good deed as a currency’ for a while now: I wanted to develop something that people would find useful, but instead of asking them for a remuneration for my time, I wanted their appreciation to be expressed in the time that they would give to a worthy cause of their own choice.

The opportunity presented itself when I was picking up long-forgotten tools and trying illustration: I’ve sketched-out a few alphabet posters: in English and Russian for now. They are available to download, print, use it in any other ways people (mainly parents of toddlers) see fit.

In return, I’m asking people who decide to download this to invent their own good cause: do something good today. It could be anything from being kinder to someone to spending screen-free time with their children or donating to a charity of their choice.
