First of all, happy 2018 to all of you, Let’s go to the first post of the year! So, today I’ll be taking a look at one of Sketch’s great things that we designers can take advantage of, which is the large amount of different plugins we can use in order to improve and make our work easier and faster.
I made a quick list and ended up with this list of the top 5 Sketch plugins I’ve used this last year of 2017.
<h4>#1 Sketch Runner</h4>

The first one is Sketch Runner and It’s probably my favorite one. If you don’t know or never used this plugin, I recommend you to take a look. It’s like your Mac Spotlight, but for Sketch.

You can run plugins or native Sketch actions

Navigate through your entire document

Browse and insert symbols from <a href="https://www.sketchapp.com/docs/libraries/">Sketch Libraries</a> or your symbols page, and many more.
<h4>#2 Clipboard Fill</h4>

This one is a super simple plugin, and I also use it a lot.

This GIF explains it all. You can copy an image to the clipboard and then fill any shape with it using cmd + alt + v.
<h4>#3 Rename It</h4>

The concept of RenameIt is pretty straight forward. You select two or more layers/artboards and rename them, and you also have the “Find &amp; Replace Layers” feature.

The cool thing is that you can add and combine keywords like “%N” which will add a number to each layer name.
<h4>#4 Symbol Organizer</h4>

Got a messy Symbols page, with artboards all over the place? This one is for you, then!
For the sake of this example, I’ve created a super small symbols page. So with start from this:

And after running the plugin we end up like this:

You have a few options to adjust, so that you can organize your symbols in the best way possible.

<h4>#5 Symbol Instance Renamer</h4>

Onto the last plugin, and is from the same developer that created the “Symbol Organizer”.
Let’s you have a symbol called “Button Big”, you rename it to “Button Large” and now you want all its instances in the entire document to change their name too. It’s as easy as typing “Shift + Alt + Cmd + R” and boom, all done. Want to just rename the intances you’ve selected? No problem! Just type “Shift + Ctrl + Cmd + R” and that’s it!
