If you love making things, try and throw side-projects into the mix! Something has to give way… and in the life of the maker, it often does. There usually comes a time where you’ll have to leave the 9–5 life to focus completely on your own ideas. There’s no better feeling!
Now was my time (for the second time) — I recently left a job at <a href="http://marvelapp.com">Marvel</a> to focus on an app I’d been building in my evenings and weekends, with the goal to turn it into a real business.
I’d actually been working on this project for quite a few months leading up to leaving my job…But just as I did, something that doesn’t make much sense happened. The <a href="https://medium.com/u/b8b4445269d0">Product Hunt</a> hackathon was announced, and I couldn’t resist getting involved. I got a small team together and entered. Now I have more work to do…
