The latest Sketch version will be (almost) entirely about color managment.
In this article you will find some short videos demonstrating the pros and cons of the new features in the latest version of Sketch.
Find and Replace color panel
Designers have been waiting for this feature since the very first day, and now it’s time to celebrate because it’s finally here (but it’s still a beta)!
Now you can replace one color in your project with another one and not get mad because you forgot to create a symbol or a text style.
Look how easy it is:
The Find and Replace feature works with these colors too! You only need to check the box in panel and… 💥 boom! Colors updated!
SURE! Select the color you want to change and it will change inside all of your gradients. Check out the video below:
Best feature ever, right? Actually not quite… while experimenting with it, I discovered a huge problem: where the hell are hex codes??
If I have six different shades of black and I want to change all of them to the same color, and the only way to find the right color is to go to trial and error.
The only way to avoid getting mixed up is to show the hex code next to each color preview.
Sorry Sketch if I used your words to describe the other features. Hope you don’t mind!
You can try Sketch 48 downloading the beta from: https://www.sketchapp.com/beta/
So, what do you think about Sketch 48? How did you manage color replacement inside your projects up until now?
And the most important question: what BIG feature would you want to see in Sketch 49?
If you found this article interesting and helpful please 👏 as much as you can and share it with other people that can enjoy it!
Thank you for you time, daje!
