As a marketing enthusiast, but mostly as a powerful consumer, I’ll try to give some advice what caught my eye for your brand/startup. I’ll keep this short and let’s count what I want as a consumer from your brand/startup/product.

1- SIMPLICITY

This is by far the most important thing I could tell you guys, because complexity is horrible for clients. We want to know whats happening in your website and we want to find what we are looking for immediately. Also do not forget, maybe some old people are using your website to buy or use for something. As a consumer, I don’t even want to waste my 10 seconds to find your product. If your product or service cannot be reached within 10 seconds in your website, fix it. And also you need to think aesthetically in every process of your product from producing to packaging stage. Your product and everything that advertises your product should be simple and user-friendly so people can understand and reach easily.

simplicity.

2- SHOW PEOPLE WHAT THEY CAN DO WITH YOUR PRODUCT, NOT WHAT THE PRODUCT CAN DO.

#1 “this computer can search and find where your child is using the location system.”
#2 “now you can easily find where your child is using our ‘find my child’ app

Which one is more relieving? I guess most probably, #2. Because once you use this method, automatically clients take control of the ship. Its heartening. People always wonder what they can do with a product, but not what the product can do. And don’t think that this article relates to technological products only, even if you’re selling ice-cream, lemonade, or doughnuts or even if you’re gonna run a new cafe or restaurant, you should think about all of this optimization for better consequences.

3- BE FRIEND WITH CLIENTS.

Being funny is always good, and debonair employees is so. We as clients want to know you’re taking care of us. Communicate with us, not of course face-to-face but little thing on your product or maybe on the wall of your restaurant makes us happy.

4- TYPOGRAPHY IS GOD.

Typography is the art and technique of arranging type. The fonts add value to your text. The correct choice of color, font and text size can prove to be vital for attracting your target audience. If your content etc. requires some seriousness, you should choose fonts that are simple, plain and professional. Using same font for similar contents provides continuity.

5- YOU NEED TO KNOW WHAT COLOR HARMONY IS.

For your advertisement, or for your product. We don’t want monochrome things all the time. Know the harmony of colors. Know dream colors, #FDE8F8, vintage colors, nature colors and so forth. We care about colors. For instance, is there anybody who doesn’t want to buy opaque black, or brand new red Iphone? Follow trend colors every season. For example in recent years claret red, light pink and vintage yellow was popular.

6- THINK EXTRAORDINARY AND EXECUTE.

Sometimes one particular thing we see in the streets or on the internet etc. can change our decision instantly. Maybe guerrilla marketing, maybe some extraordinary idea that makes everyone laugh but deeply arouse a feeling of buying that product. I cannot say sort of thing about this but I can show you some brilliant ideas for advertisement.

Ultimately, I don’t even count this as an advice, use social media accounts not continuously but wisely. Colors of your social media accounts and being simple is very important for turn heads to your company. Also the most important thing is replying their messages if they’re asking for something to you and so forth. Being witty is also very important thing for social media.

Nowadays I’ve seen a couple of brands write jokes onto their product and I think thats very interesting. Our century is not being a serious century, we’re not old, we’re young and we’re open to diversity all the time. If you do a thing that nobody did before, with good marketing and a little luck, you could be the best! But bear this in mind, some companies take things too far with using all of these trends. Find a middle way, and do not wait for the “true time” as true time starts when you decide to do something, and luck is only a gamble.
