Today we are happy to announce that the first version of Timeline for Sketch is now available for everyone.
Timeline empowers designers to craft beautiful animations and export them. The first release of Timeline allows exporting to GIF or MP4 files, but as we mentioned in our Secret Plan — we have much bigger plans 😉
A couple of months ago we’ve announced a crowdfunding campaign for a new, exciting product that allows to create timeline-based animations in Sketch. The campaign was very successful and we were able to raise the funds to develop the product and validate demand for it.
Thanks to all our backers 🙏
Here are some of the questions we’ve been asked during the development of Timeline:
A: Here’s a short post that will take you through the basics.
A: In our documentation: animaapp.github.io/docs/v1/timeline/
A: The license model is the same as Sketch’s license model.
That is, you purchase a lifetime license and 1 year worth of updates. After one year you can keep using the version you already have, or renew in order to get one more year of updates. It is not a subscription.
A: The first version can only export GIF and .mov, but on our roadmap are exporting to code formats such as CSS animations, Lottie and more. Read more about it here.
